Day 172, 173, 174

Day 174 - Saturday - Tim and Seb geek out hard in the kitchen. geek stuff everywhere.

Day 173 - Friday, oodles of funtimes reading in 231. Jowett and O'Donnell on Propaganda and persusasion.

Day 172 - Thursday - When I parked my car here earlier in the day I noticed this car parked in front of me, oh say, a mile from the kerb. In fact its not even parked, its like they stopped where they were, got out and walked off. When I came back at 6pm it was still there in its retardo parking position.

Day 170, 171

Day 171 - Wednesday - We went to a party last weekend, and the host made these pizza things using mexican tortillas for bases. He only had a tomato base, carmelised onions and cheese on them. They were sooo good I had to make my own... with abit of bratwurst sausage thrown on the top.

Day 170 - Tuesday - I have a heavy class load on Tuesdays this semester, requiring an early rise to get the boys ready for school and packed off to Kobi's mates house before 8am so I can catch a bus, get into Uni, buy a hot chocolate and download my notes before 9am class. The weathers been spectacular, and as I walked past the kitchen window the sky was a brilliant glow.

Day 168, Day 169

Day 169 - Monday - My mother made this, its called Texas slice, or something. Its bloody good. Its got curly coconut, sultanas, walnuts, and chocolate bound together with condensed mild on a base of smashed up malt biscuits.

Day 168 - Sunday - After a night out, and the boys stayed at mums, we went back to her house for dinner. Lounging in the late afternoon sun is always a lovely end to the weekend.

Day 165, 166, 167

Day 167 - Saturday - Solaris Collective Day. I nearly missed it by sleeping in. Lucky. 8.01am in Auckland, now waiting to see the pictures by everyone else in the world.

Day 166 - Friday - Dunno why Im enthralled with the roadworks on Symonds St on campus, but the new planting looks so pretty. I thought I would document before thousands of horrible students stand all over them crossing the street and trample them to death.

Day 165 - Thursday - Kate and I had lunch before I commenced 4 hours of afternoon lectures which don't finish till 6pm. On the bus home I saw the f'ing great big moon in the sky. The bus driver noticed me takin pics and turned off the lights inside so I could get a better shot. This with Khyber Pass and the motorway underneath gigantor full moon.

Day 162, 163, 164

Day 164 - Wednesday - I bothered to get dressed up. I was meeting my old friend Lila for lunch. We haven't seen each other since we were about 18, it was really wonderful to connect and share old stories again. I hope to see her more in the future.

Day 163 - Tuesday - Maori 271, Maori and the Media. Neuton my bro, is looking at me and saying woah did you just take a picture? We had a guest speaker from Maori TV, the head of aquisitions and commisioning, very very interesting.

Day 162 - Monday - the ressurection. I had these done just before Jessica came over but I haven't photogrpahed till now. After 40 years, and an extreme amount of abuse, I finally had the kitchen chairs recovered. White vinyl, just like they used to be. I want sparkles in it but they didn't have any fabric like that. Never mind, job ticked off finally.

Day 161

Day 161 - Sunday - After some very innocent Sunday morning hi jinks involving Seb stealing Duvet and me trying to tickle his feet, he fell off the edge and came down on the sidebar and this happened. It split clean in half. Not good enough for a bed that is only 5 months old!!! its completely mothered. Now waiting for shop person to turn up and 'assess' it. Assess my middle finger Target and give me a new sidebar.

Day 158, 159, 160

Day 160 - Saturday - First day of August. One more month of Winter left. This picture is the birth of the Solaris Collective, another photo project in which next Saturday morning 8am NZ time as many people as can be bothered are going to take photos of the sun shining where they are, and then we are going to post them on Facebook. An excersize in making the distance between us even smaller.

Day 159 - Friday - I helped Amy take Isabel to the doctor, shes showing me her Maths prowess while we wait for our turn.

Day 158 - Thursday - Sociology of the media stage 3. That is my lecturer Natalie talking to my tutor Anthony and my classmate Robin. this is my last class of the day on a Thursday. It is heavily based in Marxist theory, but at only week 2 we have a ways to go yet.

Day 155, 156, 157

Day 157 - Wednesday - Strolling trhough campus. the trees are nude, but the roadworks are finished!

Day 156 - Tuesday - checking my phone for the news. This issue in particular pissed me off.

Day 155 - Monday - Im ammending this photo after I found pictures stored in the internal memory of my camera. I had taken one! doing reading and eating chocolate in bed.

Day 154

Day 154 - Sunday - Camera died again. But you get the idea. We went to the zoo for Kates friend Meghans little girl Avalon. She had a zoo party and we were invited! We got up close and personal with the helephunks.

Day 153

Day 153 - Saturday - We went to a party at my cousins.... too hard to explain... we went to Kaukapakapa, about an hour and some north of my house, Dions place had these spectacular views across farmland to the Kaipara harbour. just beautiful!

Day 149, 150, 151, 152

Day 152 - Friday - I woke up early and came in my office. I heard bird sounds very unfamilar and discovered this pair of Rainbow lorikeets on the nextdoor neighbours roof. They sang and chortled and hopped about for ages. Non-native birds like these are a rare sight.

Day 151 - Thursday - Being back at school makes you extremely hungry!

Day 150 - Wednesday - sitting with Jen in the arts cafe having a yarn, we've both just had politics 231 lecture and are having a post hols catch up on all things gossip and intrigue. She tells me she accidentally partially disabled her friend. I laughed. that was probably not appropriate.

Day 149 - Tuesday - No image recorded... but while we're on the subject, who wants to teach me to read binary?

Day 147, 148

Day 148 - Monday - Milo the feral is now Milo 'hai I might take ovr ur bed plz thks'. Tomorrow I am back at Uni, tally ho and 4 papers we go!

Day 146

Day 146 - Saturday - Jessies last day before she leaves us to return home. We have had a wonderful time. She and I ran round like loons organising presents for her to take home to Australia for our neices Ella and Lily, as well as July birthday gifts from me and Jess for our brother, and a birthday present from me for Dad. We went to my mums for dinner, Roast Lamb and Cream potato, Fejoa cake and hokey pokey icecream. yums. Farewells to Jess, I hope we get to do this again, it was really really cool and I loved having her here every minute of every day. I wish I could see my family all the time.

Day 143, 144, 145

Day 145 - Friday - Trip out to Piha with a minor deviation to a park we'd never even been to in Waikowhai, ended up being a great discovery and Jess had fun times on a flying fox. At Piha we climbed Lion Rock (Te Piha) and got abit of excersize.

Day 144 - Thursday - On account of late starts in the morning the majority of our activity has been in the afternoon. Seb was home with a cold so I took Jess out on our own, Ponsonby for present hunting for James, and then abit more sightseeing on Bastion Point overlooking the harbour. I should say we had some mean burgers in Ponsonby which we ate in front of cute boys... unfortunately for Jess!

Day 143 - Wednesday - Cole perked up so we went to town, did the art gallery and more shops, Jessica purchased the red coat. Good foods in High street for brunch, Harry Potter for night time entertainment at the movies. An enmasse troupe of us lot, my Mum and Martin and my friends Nicky and Chucky and their son Jayden.

Day 140, 141, 142

Day 142 - Tuesday - We stayed home on account of Cole being a sicky boy. Jess ended up doing her hair. She like me, and our other sister Kate are cursed with this high maintenance hair, but Kate and I have learned from experience that the shorter it is the easy it is to manage! in the meantime its hot tongs and loads of product for Jessica.

Day 141 - Monday - Driving home to Auckland we stopped in the Karangahake Gorge for abit more touristy action. Its a former site of a mine, so there was bits of old buildings and signs and concrete all over the place.

Day 140 - Sunday - Did some tourist stuff, visited Te Puia thermal park and showed Jess some Maoriness, looked at Geysers and froze to death in the cold. After this we drove to Tauranga and spent the night with my friend Rose.

Day 137, 138, 139

Day 139 - Saturday - We all drove down to Rotorua for smelly good times and hotsprings. I didn't know they didn't have hotpools in Australia, how weird, the world is a sad place without hot springs in it.

Day 138 - Friday - We did a bunch of stuffs, opshopping, nostalgia at Middleton Rd where our Dad grew up, and a birthday party of someone we didn't know. Its cool having someone in the world that looks like you.

Day 137 - Thursday - After much waiting and stuff, my youngest sister Jessica finally arrived in Auckland for her first overseas jaunt by herself. Picked her up at the airport and showed her the views before heading home and catching Transformers at the movies.

Day 134, 135, 136

Day 136 - Wednesday - No image recorded, getting ready for jessie means I forget to do stuff. the answer to the question selfishly is no, because my life is so much better. But non selfishly is yes, because it shouldn't have taken that for it to be better in the first place.

Day 135 - Tuesday - Hangin out with Gabriel again, me and the boys went to Amy's for the day and hung out for lunch, her kids had made a hut in the lounge, boys'n huts is good times.

Day 134 - Monday - No image recorded. Im alittle preoccupied I think. This post secret image weirds me out, I'd love to know what the brief was for the work. or in his case I spose lack of brief. come'on someone had to say it...

Day 132, 133

Day 133 - Sunday - Tired. Now counting minutes till my sister arrives from Australia.

Day 132 - Saturday - Potluck dinner at ours, 26 guests turned up to our little house, mayhem and mud coz it was raining, but we had good food and good company and I thank everyone who took time out to cook and be there and celebrate belatedly my birthday with me.

Day 129, 130, 131

Day 131 - Friday - Last day of school for the boys before end of term. They each had a friend stay the night, Caleb and Peter-James. it was hotdogs for tea. Cole, as per the usual looks like the devil.

Day 130 - Thursday - the more post secret cards I steal the worse I feel because it means I forgot to take a picture.

Day 129 - Wednesday - Im on holiday at this point, and exams are over and Im being slack. Its my friend Daves birthday and Sebs bestie Brendan. I didn't get back with Seb because of editing software though, and I didn't have any editing software myself seeings as he's an editor so, this technically doesn't apply... but they are on a beach looking holiday like.

Day 126, 127, 128a & b

Day 128b - Tuesday - Kirstys blackboard shot of us before I left to go home.

Day 128a - Tuesday - the fellas took me to Port Lyttleton for brunch after a visit to the Christchurch Art Gallery, very very cold but very lovely. Thank you very much for your hospitality, it was awesome xxx.

Day 127 - Monday - I went out for lunch with Michan and baby Misia, and later Kirsty and Adam took me driving to the Port Hills for views over the city and country.

Day 126 - Sunday - I went on a plane to Christchurch, very very bumpy times. I was going on my self appointed birthday treat to visit my friend Kirsty and see my other friend Misato. Kirsty and I have known each other since primary school and Michan and I met in Osaka when I lived there. I love plane rides, even with the bumpy bits. Oh and I love Air NZ lollies as well.
