Day 92 - Monday - HIKOI. an important day for Maori, to remember the 30th anniversary of the occupation at Bastion Point, and to make it clear to this government that they are in breach of the Treaty of Waitangi with their wholesale scrapping of the 3 designated Maori seats reccommended by the Royal Commision. 3 Maori seats in the new Auckland Supercity that our government sees fit once again to classify Maori as unimportant in the decisionmaking process. Rights, Resources, Representation, this is what the Treaty signifies, and it should be duly given to Maori as Treaty partners as Pakeha see fit to give to themselves.Emma - Day 92
