Emma - Day 86, 87, 88, 89

Day 86-89 :(

the whole not having batteries and being stressed like a mofo has made me an abject failure for the second period of time. enjoy this beautiful post secret instead.

Emma - Day 85

Day 85 - Monday - Seb in his mancoat at the window pulling a stupid face. He likes pulling faces.

Emma - Day 84

Day 84 - Sunday - It was bloody cold, a nice little reminder that Antarctica is not too far away, so I had this scarf round my head initally because I was outside and didn't want my hair to get wet (I know how stupid, but water + my hair = POOF), and yeah. Arab styles much?

Emma - Day 82, 83

Day 83 - Saturday - I had gotten this little jacket from an asian shop in Newmarket, I feel like Tweety Campbell from Madmen when I wear it on account of its late 50's styling.

Day 82 - Friday - my little cousin Willie La'ulu came to NZ for his first visit since his parents (my dads sister) emmigrated to Australia. Seb and I took him for the Wendy's experience, which he enjoyed immensely. We enjoyed his company and hope he comes to stay with us next time he's in Auckland.

Emma - Day 77, 78, 79, 80, 81

Days 77 - 81.

The camera had no batteries :( epic fail.

Emma - Day 75, 76

Day 76 - Saturday - Shortly after this terrible picture was taken my camera ran out of juice. Dan wearing a bra on his back. You need to see the film to find out why.

Day 75 - Friday - 48 hours furious filmmaking. I treat the team, team Marvin and the Gayes, whose members are Seb, Daniel, Myself, Estevez and this year Paul, to a warm up dinner of enchilladas. We are also in the salubrious company of young Mat who had to work and couldn't join us in our mayhem.

Emma - Day 74

Day 74 - Thursday - not recorded because I was slaving over my essay and preoccupied by political terminology. However I think this post secret is fitting. I agree.

Emma - Day 73

Day 73 - Wednesday - Driving home from last class, inevitably leads to getting stuck in the traffic, which seems to get worse the colder and darker the days get.

Emma - Day 71, 72

Day 72 - Tuesday - I knew May would be painful, just not THIS painful. I've pored over a million texts for this essay, including these ones. Got a B+ for this essay as well.

Day 71 - Monday - no school... I have a new headache... how do you write about new public management and the bureaucracy in 2500 words? Yellow highlighter is my friend.

Emma - Day 70

Day 70 - Sunday - Early morning in the information commons of Uni, its a dull rainy day, and theres noone there, well me and about 5 others. im trying to get research material for my politics 222 essay on the Bureaucracy. Not long after I took these a guy stood just outside the window and 'assaulted' himself in front of me and another girl. We had to call security due to how disturbing the entire event was.

Emma - Day 69

Day 69 - Saturday - Hanging out with the cats. Even though they eat like they have worms (which they probably do), the kittens have been a joy. Milo and Oscar play on the deck, and knock over a potplant in the process, which they find mildy curious, along with the rock that fell out of it when they knocked it over.

Emma - Day 67,68

Day 68 - Friday - My cousin Christie is mum to this awesome person, her name is Nikita. Christie and I caught up for an afternoon before she and Nikita headed back to Whistler in Canada where Christie and her canadian husband Tim have made a life. Looking forward to seeing them again at Christmas.

Day 67 - Thursday - Kobi shows off his new... err.. I should know it... Darth Vader has one, comes in black... you know, its a... (wheres my brother when I need him to whisper me the answer) and this ones made of Lego!! very cool, if you look close you can even see Mr Vader sitting in the little cockpit.

Emma - Day 65, 66

Day 66 - Wednesday - I am sitting on Queen St pondering my feet and waiting to meet Akiko for lunch. We haven't seen each other since she moved from living with us briefly in 2006 to live with her partner Bens parents. In that time we have both lost partners with Ben dying suddenly in a climbing accident, but she is back here in NZ hoping oneday to be able to call it home. In the meantime she travels like a demon between here and her home in Sapporo.

Day 65 - Tuesday - When I leave University in the evenings now, its dark, the days are shorter and the long summery hours have left us.

Emma - Day 62, 63, 64

Day 64 - Monday - Autumn has come to campus, the leaves are falling off the trees on Symonds St and littering the pavement. Such a dramatic shift in the weather from our heady days of summer.

Day 63 - Sunday - I knew this next month was going to be crap, and as soon as the submission was over I had to start working on the take home test for Sociology. Mimi sleeps on in the background. Sometimes I am jealous of the middle class cat life, which seems to involve eating, and laying around on beds and peoples homework.

Day 62 - Saturday - came outside to find Whitey and Oscar having a snuggle in the banana box under the outdoor table, whoever said cats are not communal creatures was lying, especially as these two are not even remotely related.

Emma - Day 61

Day 61 - Friday - after a day of being 11, and complete with new pyjamas, Kobi and Cole settle into the serious business of a recently aquired Playstation game care of Uncle James and Aunty Gelles which arrived in post (Transformers even). Nothing like a nicely showered freshly pyjama'd pair of boys all ready for bed.

Emma - Day 60

Day 60 - Thursday - Kobi was 11! I never thought about him being 11, 5 maybe, even maybe turning 1, but not 11. I remember being 11, 1984 and running and sandwiches and timestables. cursive writing, the LA Olympics, Billy idol. Square pegs, double belts, the very last year of Primary school. I wonder what he will remember about turning 11.

Emma - Day 59

Day 59 - Wednesday - after staying up the whole night (no sleep just energy drinks and a prayer) I churned out my document. I handed in 90 minutes before deadline so I could make my maori tutorial, and then proceeded to go to Womens Space and die. Of course this is the reason I subsequently failed my Politics 222 paper which I sat later in the afternoon. I had hit the veritable wall and something had to give.

Emma - Day 57, 58

Day 58 - Tuesday - Submision is creeping up, I am dressed in my pyjamas and my hair is unbrushed. Im hiding my dishevelledness in a crop.

Day 57 - Another missed day, probably the blur of the submission I had due at the time. however, I think this is one of the more disturbing post secrets I ever read.

Emma - Day 55, 56

Day 56 - Sunday - I am knee deep in writing my submission for Maori Politics, on the criminal investigations (bodily samples) ammendment. I got a B+, and nearly lost my sanity.

Day 55 - Saturday - no pic, but it was Mike Telfers birthday, and we had tea and cake in Takapuna. There was no marijuana in the cake though, only chocolate.

Emma - Day 54

Day 54 - Friday - My son made me this banana on toast. while I was blogging. it was the best banana on toast ever.
